Travis Pine

In 2005, Travis co-founded Torrent Technologies, where he architected Torrent Flood™, widely recognized as the insurance industry’s leading flood insurance and services platform. Under his leadership, Torrent grew to support more than $1.5 billion in premium, 26 carrier clients, and approximately 400 employees before its acquisition by Marsh USA in 2014. Torrent has since grown into the industry’s largest flood vendor, with an estimated $2.5 billion in annual premium.

Earlier in his career, Travis worked in Arthur Andersen’s Technology Risk division, leveraging dual degrees in Computer Science and Accounting before relocating to Seattle during the height of the dot-com era. There, he co-founded multiple early-stage technology companies, including Azazz! (acquired by theglobe.com) and HitHive.com – a first-mover digital media platform that helped shape the early evolution of digital music distribution and foreshadowed platforms such as iTunes.

Travis is currently the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Solstice Innovations, an AI-native insurtech company purpose-built to transform insurance operations through its flagship platform, Equinox™. Founded in 2018, Solstice developed Equinox™ cloud-native from the ground up – a deliberate architectural decision that has uniquely positioned the platform to deliver agentic AI capabilities across P&C and Flood policy administration for carriers and MGAs. Since its launch in 2021, Equinox™ has expanded to support homeowners, flood, and broader P&C lines, and is increasingly recognized as a next-generation core system for the intelligent automation of insurance operations.

He is also the Managing Member of Lone Pine Holdings, LLC, the holding company for Solstice Innovations and a vehicle through which he invests in and advises early-stage technology companies. Travis splits his time between Montana, Florida, and the Seattle area, where his three daughters live.
