Equinox™ integrates your custom Portals with the Virtual Back-Office™ enabling your customer, agent, embedded channel, affiliate partner, administrator, claims adjuster or anyone you give authority, to view designated aspects of the account and policy, from claim status to policy payment, 24/7. This also facilitates e-delivery for communications such as, policy forms, declaration pages, invoices, company notifications, claim documents, and more. With opt in/opt out consumer tracking, the system gives the insured the ability to set their own preferences.

The Equinox Virtual Back-Office™ (VBO) keeps your operations safe, compliant, and always on. Built with robust security controls, active monitoring, and role-based access, the VBO protects your data while powering all your back-office tasks — from configuration management to workflow automation — with total reliability.

Scalable

Equinox™ automatically scales up as demand increases and scales down when not needed. There is no adding of things like servers, memory, storage, etc., to meet demand.

Secure

Security is built into the infrastructure, and strong audited controls are in place to keep it secure. Since we use AWS services, not servers or server containers, Equinox™ is not exposed to many risks other SaaS solutions face. Equinox™ has been architectured to use a selected set of AWS services providing further insulation.

The resilient architecture of Equinox™ addresses availability, leveraging multiple availability zones and regions to ensure it, meaning it is up and available virtually at all times.

Configurable

Equinox™ is architected to be as configurable as possible to eliminate the need for software changes when business rules change, allowing customers to be nimbler. As core functionality and new features are introduced, we take the time to make them configurable instead of one-off hard-coded. Examples of this are rate configuration changes and the ability to update document/letter templates.

Connectible

The Equinox™ architecture is designed around APIs, which are used internally to support the Equinox™ User Experience through our microservices architecture. APIs are used to interface with outside partners like third-party data providers or to connect to existing internal systems that our customers may need to integrate. We also provide a growing set of public APIs to allow customers or their partners to integrate into Equinox™.

Current

Equinox™ is designed and developed to allow regular updates that will not interrupt users. You get smaller, constant incremental releases, just like you see with Amazon, Facebook, Google, etc., with Equinox™. This allows our customers to stay current and allows Solstice to stay agile and responsive the customers' needs.

Analytics

The data collected and stored in Equinox™ is yours, accessible anytime for any reason. The platform uses AWS DynamoDB for OLTP (online transaction processing). All transactional data is represented in a data reporting warehouse. Equinox™ includes many canned reports out-of-the-box, and additional custom reports can be developed. Reports can contain data visualization as well as tabular data. Drill-down reporting is supported.
